प्रदेश सरकार लोगों को बेहतरीन परिवहन सेवाएं प्रदान करने के लिए बचनबद्ध: मुकेश अग्निहोत्री

उप-मुख्यमंत्री मुकेश अग्निहोत्री ने आज सोलन में पत्रकारों से अनौपचारिक बातचीत की। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार लोगों को समयबद्ध एवं गुणवत्तायुक्त सेवाएं प्रदान करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। इसके दृष्टिगत न केवल हिमाचल पथ परिवहन निगम में बसों की संख्या बढ़ाई जा रही है बल्कि यात्रियों को टैम्पो ट्रैवलर की सुविधा देने की दिशा में भी कार्य किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य में लगभग एक हजार बसों को चरणबद्ध आधार पर बदला जा रहा है। 600 नई बसें खरीदने की प्रक्रिया जारी है। 350 इलेक्ट्रिक तथा 250 डीजल बसों की खरीद की जा रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश की भौगोलिक परिस्थिति के अनुरूप 37 अथवा 42 सीटर बसें ही खरीदी जा रही हैं।
उप-मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि पूर्व प्रदेश सरकार के कार्यकाल में नई बसों की खरीद नहीं की गई। वर्तमान प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा समयबद्ध नई बसों की खरीद की जा रही है साथ ही पर्यावरण संरक्षण के दृष्टिगत अभिनव प्रयास भी किए जा रहे हैं।
इस अवसर पर कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता रमेश ठाकुर, रमेश चौहान, मोहन मेहता, नगर निगम सोलन के पार्षद राजीव कौडा, कांग्रेस पार्टी के वरिष्ठ नेता, जल शक्ति विभाग के अधीक्षण अभियंता संजीव कुमार सैनी, एचआरटीसर सोलन के मण्डल प्रबंधक सुरेन्द्र राजपूत और विभिन्न विभागों के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।

Government committed to strengthening public transport: Deputy CM

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, in an informal interaction with media persons at Solan today, said that the Transport Department was fully committed to providing timely and quality services to the people of the state.
He said that efforts were underway to strengthen the fleet of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC). The state government was in the process of purchasing 600 new buses, including 350 electric and 250 diesel buses to modernize public transport. He said that keeping in view the geographical conditions of the state all new buses being procured would either be 37-seater or 42-seater capacity.
Sh. Agnihotri said that around one thousand old buses were being replaced in a phased manner. He said that no new buses were procured during the tenure of the previous government, whereas the present government was not only purchasing new buses but also making innovative efforts aimed at environmental conservation.
He said that to further enhance connectivity and comfort for passengers we were planning to introduce Tempo Traveller facilities in suitable areas.
Senior Congress leaders and departmental officers were also present on the occasion.

Deputy CM expresses condolences on demise of Renu Sethi

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri today visited the residence of senior Congress leader Surendra Sethi to express his condolences on the demise of his wife, Renu Sethi, who passed away a few days ago.
Mukesh Agnihotri paid floral tributes to the departed soul and prayed for the eternal peace to late Renu Sethi. He also prayed for strength and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Several senior Congress leaders including Ramesh Thakur, Ramesh Chauhan, Mohan Mehta and Councilor Rajiv Kauda and senior officers from various departments were also present during the visit.

मुकेश अग्निहोत्री ने वरिष्ठ कांग्रेस नेता की धर्मपत्नी के निधन पर किया शोक व्यक्त

उप-मुख्यमंत्री मुकेश अग्निहोत्री ने आज वरिष्ठ कांग्रेस नेता सुरेन्द्र सेठी के सोलन स्थित आवास पहुंचकर उनकी धर्मपत्नी के निधन पर संवेदनाएं व्यक्त की।
सुरेन्द्र सेठी की धर्मपत्नी रेणु सेठी का कुछ दिवस पूर्व देहांत हो गया था।
मुकेश अग्निहोत्री ने स्व. रेणु सेठी को श्रद्धाजंलि अर्पित की। उन्होंने परमपिता परमात्मा से शोकाकुल परिजनों को इस असहनीय दुःख को सहन करने की शक्ति प्रदान करने और दिवगंत आत्मा की शांति के लिए प्रार्थना की।
